PF1/remove

Quick thoughts

check the terminal emulator as to whether it is using the system default
editing keypad mapping driver or the vt like editing keypad mapping driver.

depending on how this is set changes the escape sequence that these keys
send.

does the vms login do a $set term/inquire for both?

Check what terminal type VMS thinks you have. If I remember my DCL show
terminal/full or something like that should give you the answer. It's
likely your login sets the terminal type differently depending on how
you are connecting. You can also use set terminal to override the
setting for the login direct to the production system to prove the
theory.

If I'm correct it will be either a personal login file or more likely a
system one that is doing the damage.

Pathworks terminal emulator 525.

Don't know anything about all that, but:

A login direct to the production system has the problem as outlined. A
login to the dev machine works, and a set host from there to the
production system also works. So I'm sure you're right, Blue, thanks.

Next question - how do I fix it ?? Anyone know ?

Chris
