Powerhouse 7.10/8.30 VMS upgrade (survey results)

On August 8th I wrote:

I did receive a few more responses since my interim summary last week.

Summary (13 total):
o Two people have actually gone to 8.30, with positive comments.
o Three people have gone to intermediate versions (8,10, 8.20). 
  Two had negative comments ("struggling without POW", "very painful") 
  while one is running dual versions (8.20 QTP only) happily.
o Five people are intending to upgrade. 
o Three people have no plans (systems on life-support, or "stable").

Of course I have no idea whether this small sample is representative 
of the world at large, but assuming it is, then it would appear that
many people are still sitting on the fence, but 8.30 is likely to be 
a good step (and an improvement over 8.10/8.20).

Perhaps we will hear more as more people actually do the upgrade.
