Thanks Jim for the vote of confidence. We've had very good feedback on
PowerHouse 8.30 on OpenVMS. The 8.30D release has been shipped back to the
base. We're also getting good feedback on PowerHouse Web which is expected
to go to production in the fall.
I seem to be mentioned by name because I'm visible on the list, but I don't
code. We have an excellent and dedicated team in ADT. Credit for the 8.30
release which brings the OpenVMS features into the Series 8 code stream
belongs to Allison Hamilton and the other members of the ADT Server team.
I'm mainly involved with PowerHouse Web these days. But again, the
robustness of the product is a credit to our team, not to me.

Hello Ingemar!
We are a retirement system and have used VMS and PowerHouse for well over a
decade.
We are currently in a Beta test for PowerHouse 8.30Z1 and the corresponding
version of PowerHouse Web. The discussed glitches encounterd in previous
versions of POW are non existant on this release and PowerHouse Web is
performing great. We will go live with this versions as soon as they are
released for production. I understand they will be released as version 8.40C
for PowerHouse and 2.40C for PowerHouse Web.
Unless your Company has alot of spare greenbacks laying around, this is a
good route to take. It will give you a web based environment without the
hassels of the Client/Server environment. Just an opinion.
The people at Cognos, specifically Bob Deskin, are totally dedicated to make
this baby work. I think if used properly it could save millions in total
re-writes for some of us.
Have a great day.
