Agreed! How long would you have to search for the cause of
 "This action isn't valid for this screen."
if you didn't know what caused it?

Looking things up in the manual is OK when you know what to look for!

Under most circumstances that would be appropriate advice, however, the
Cognos manuals are, at times, 'difficult' to decipher when English is your
first language.  So sometime RTFM only adds to the confusion.
