Powerhouse 7.10/8.30 VMS upgrade (survey results - sort of)

On August 8th I wrote:

Surprisingly (to me) I only got a handful of responses (5) and since
it's been a while since the last one I don't expect any more now.

And the summary:
o Only 1 person had actually gone to 8.30, and had no major glitches.
o Two people had gone to intermediate versions (8,10, 8.20) and both 
  had negative comments ("struggling without POW", "very painful") 
  although the latter (at least) is proceeding to 8.30.
o One person is intending to, but is not in a rush.
o One person has no plans to upgrade (system on life-support).

In other words, the complete gamut!

However, I can't believe there are only 6 VMS / Powerhouse shops out
there. Did I not ask the right question? No-one working in the summer?

If anyone else would like to comment, even if your situation doesn't
exactly match that in my question, I will re-summarize the results.
