delimited File

One way (may not be easiest) is:
Read file into Excel.
Adjust column lengths to number of characters needed per field.
Save adjusted file as text file (fixed-length).
Upload it to server.
Build dummy subfile with fields and sizes needed (or just make an ASCII
file in dictionary to match format needed).
If using VMS, can use CONVERT to populate the subfile.
Most sites have dummy files of 80 characters (or more) which can also be
used and then parsed.
