How to edit the data?

I would like to get the data from a file to a field and want to edit/modify the data (if any grametical errors/spelling mistakes) and store it in the same file.  While displaying by taking the data from file there is no problem but how to point the cursor at the end of the data ?

If anybody give answer, I will be thankful to them
