Calling quick screen using shortcuts

Well it was hot but now it's chucking it down again. That's this summer over
and done with. When you do get to England be sure to plan your holiday
carefully so you don't miss next summer :-)
When you say anywhere I take it to mean from within any quick screen as well
as menu screens. We have a data driven menu system that allows the user to
run any program by keying in its ID or a user-determined name that is held
on a reference file.
The process relies on this reference file holding details such as the
location of the program. If you know this procedure is only required for one
specific routine then I expect the reference file calls could be replaced
with hard coding. It all results in a "run screen item D_PROGRAM_NAME"
command.
As Dave Knox pointed out, you'd need to incorporate this into a "use" file
if you need it calling from all screens. Perhaps you already have some
universal "use" files that could be changed to include this functionality?
