I have a FCOPY / QUIZ / QSHOW routine that defines datasets and elements
into a use file for suprtool. It could easily be modified to create a comma
delimited file instead. If you are interested I can e-mail this routine as
e-mail attachments.

HPe3000 on PH 8.19C or pehaps HPe3000/Compaq on PH 8.19C

We have a request to generate from our data dictionary a comma-delimited
file. An example of the columns might be:

DATABASE/FILE
RECORD NAME
RECORD DESCRIPTION
ITEM/ELEMENT NAME
ITEM/ELEMENT DESCRIPTION
DATA TYPE
DATA STORAGE
OFFSET

Is there any facility within the PowerHouse products to do this? Has anyone
written a custom routine to do this?

Several years ago, I was working on a project to do something similar and I
had to understand how PowerHouse links from one type of record to another.
At the time, it was QSCHEMAC, but I should imagine that the method is the
same. I never finished the task, but I did have a pretty clear
understanding of how to navigate the QSCHEMAC file and understand what was
going on. I did have enough "findings" to make a brief presentation at our
local PowerHouse users group..
