Logging question

What version are you using? And when you say it doesn't work, exactly what
doesn't work?

Recompiling the dictionary won't help. We do not check logging in the
dictionary. Actually, the STARTLOG and STOPLOG verbs are inserted regardless
of whether logging is enabled. QUICK checks whether logging is enabled and
if so, the STARTLOG issues the DBBEGIN. This should be transparent.

Subject: Logging question

I have a QUICK screen that is accessing an Image database with logging
enabled.
I no longer need to have logging on this particular database, so I used
DBUTIL
to disable logging. When I go to recompile my QUICK screen, I can see that
the
STARTLOG and STOPLOG commands are being inserted in the update procedure.
Since
logging is turned off, the screen doesn't work.

Is the solution as easy as recompiling the PDL dictionary (so that it sees
that
logging on the image database is turned off) and recompiling my screen? Any
info would be most appreciated.

Thanks in advance,
Jeff Keepers
