Updating a search field with QTP

hi - I have a tricky problem: I need to update an Image search field (also a
linked field) in a detail data set using QTP 8.19c1. I am currently creating
a subfile of record I need to update, then deleteing from the original
dataset, then reloading from my subfile. The problem comes in the delete - I
am getting a data access error and the delete quits. There are other links
on the dataset. Is there any way to override?
