Multiple links to same file

I need to do multiple links to same file to select specific attributes for a
single part number.  What are general rules of thumb?  Is it easier to do in
Impromptu or Quiz?  This is on an Oracle database.  Would it be better to
create specific database views to hold required information or create sub
report in Quiz for access?

The linked file contains multiple records for a single part number.  I need
to check if  attribute_code = 'something' then print attribute_literal or
median, depending on whether it is alpha or numeric data.  I may need to
relate to the attribute file as many as 20 times.

Any help would be appreciated.  I'm looking for efficiency and accuracy of
selecting only records.
