Superscript and subscript

Hi Shirley!

Superscript and Subscript are fonts applied to text strings. Visibility
stores only the text, not the formatting codes. To address this problem,
you must change the font on the printer before printing the super/sub
script. There are techniques for changing fonts on a printer using Quiz,
but they involve hard coding escape sequences for a specific printer. If
the printers change, the report may no longer work.

This is probably not what you want to hear, but I would be inclined to
explore other options.

Now somebody will probably come up with a simple and elegant solution and
make me look bad...

Subject: Superscript and subscript

We are using Powerhouse on a HP Unix Box with an Oracle database with the
Visibility ERP software. I have a need to be able to store superscripts and
subscripts using Quick for input and Quiz for output to various printers,
primarily HP laserjets. I have been told by Visibility that this cannot be
done as it is a limitation of the Powerhouse character set.

Can anyone offer any suggestions on how we can accomplish this?
