PowerHouse Web

Hi all,

We are considering the possibility of purchasing PowerHouse Web as an option to change our applications interface (Windows interface instead of host interface).

One of the options is to convert only the "find section" of our existent applications to PowerHouse Web (we feel that is not petty to convert "manintenance section").

Doing this, we can work with the terminal emulation (Reflection) and when the user choose a menu option (or hit a function key), the Internet Browser is called and you start working with PowerHouse Web in a windows interface.

We can think also of the opposite option. Begin working with PowerHouse Web (the Internet Browser), and when the user wants to access a "maintenance section", call Reflection an use terminal emulation. In this option we would convert both menus and "find sections".

The questions are the following:

- Have any of you experienced about this kind of callings from and to Browser/Reflection?
- What kind of problems you have meet with?
- Do you have any other idea of achieving the same goal?

Answers and commentaries would be HIGHLY appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Environment: MPE/iX 7.0. PowerHouse 8.29. Reflection 7.00. Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.

(By the way, do you have any other way, may be via API, of calling a Windows program from MPE/iX without using a Reflecion scipt, in other words, Reflection-independent?)

Regards,

David.
