Image modification & PDL impact

Mornin' all (at least is morning here),

I have a question, If I add an index to an existing dataset in image, do I have
to add the same index in my PDL?  We are working on a solution that may run
better with these additional keys but don't want to change everything in case
the speed is not increased or in the event the user doesn't like what we have
done (how RUDE!).  I get this feeling in my gut that if I don't add the keys,
any PowerHouse process attempting to use the dataset in question will fail even
though they would not be using the new keys (not a good thing)!

Any info would be greatly appreciated.
