Powerhouse Programmer: Permanent or 6 month contract (renewable): Edmonton

Bridge is a recruiter and agent for a number of consultants who work on
contract.

One of our clients, a large consulting company in Edmonton, is looking for 
a
PowerHouse programmer, ideally with 3-4 years experience, for either a
permanent
position or a 6 month (renewable) contract.

The position is in their Information Solutions business line. The
digital backbone, Information Solutions, is the behind-the-scenes partner
that helps their Management Consulting, E.solutions and Business process
Management lines of business achieve results. Information Solutions
provides systems integration and management for, applications hosting,
desktop management, field services, traditional networks and internet
operations, and support of industry specific applications that make it all
happen.

Position Overview:
Analysis of existing application and business processes to determine
implications of policy changes being proposed.  Preparation of business and
technical specifications based on earlier analysis. Development and testing
of application programs written in Powerhouse. Quality assurance and peer
review of modifications and new programs to ensure adherence to standards.
Team leadership and mentoring of junior resources on the project team.


Position Requirements:
*  Experience with Powerhouse programming language essential.
*  Previous experience with UNIX, COBOL, C++, SQLServer desirable.
