Compiled PowerHouse screens, runs, and reports require the dictionary to
run. While much of the specific file and element information is included in
the compiled files, security and file open information is not.

Subject: qtp question
Have a question about executable QTP code.
Does the executable code need a valid dictionary or does it take a copy of
it with it in the OBJ?
Here is a little background....
On our test back we made changes to a database and created a new PHD with
the database changes. Then we modified a QTP program to with these changes
and compiled it. It compiled fine and tested out fine.
The compiled program got copied to our production box and ran the dictionary
changes never got moved to production.
So when one of our programmers went into quiz a accessed the dataset and try
to report on it. We got the error message record lengths differ ...........
We thought that when we ran the executable QTP that it would not work but
it did not error out and wondering why.....
