Powerhouse/openVMS compatibility

Thanks for the reply. 

My problem is around 710e and VAX - 710g1 will not run on vms5.5
We need to upgrade vms on development Alpha environment but still maintain
710e for production VAX environment

I have seen PH 7.10F and 7.10G working quite fine on OpenVMS 7.1.  I don't
think there will be a problem with OpenVMS 7.2-1 as the version is quite
stable and new versions VMS generally has no problem running older apps.  I
heard 7.3 will be out soon too.

I would recommend to upgrade to PH 7.10Gn though as it has a lot of bugs
worked out and is fully Y2K certified.

I have stumbled across few issues around the powerhouse compatibility with
different versions of VMS.

Currently Powerhouse version 710e is no longer supported by Cognos.
They would not comment on whether 710e would compile under Open VMS v.7.2-1.


In our configuration we are running Powerhouse 710e on VAX under OpenVMS
v5.5-2
				   Powerhouse 710e on Alpha under OpenVMS
v6.2-1H2

We are compiling the programs on Appha under OpenVMS v6.2-1H2 and deploy on
VAX under  OpenVMS v5.5-2
We are planning to upgrade Alpha environment to OpenVMS v7.2-1.
Has anybody in the Powerhouse world  compiled 710e under v7.2-1. and run it
on VAX under  OpenVMS v5.5-2 ?
And if so, has it worked ok?
