Hi,

We moved from 7.1 to VMS 7.2-1 (powerhouse 710g1) and had no problems with
powerhouse whatsoever.

The only vms software we have ever had problems with is UCX/TCPIP (and not
connected to powerhouse), we currently have TCPIP 5.0A eco 3 and are not
experiencing a problem with it.

Subject: OpenVMS upgrade

Hello Listers

Those who are VMS users may know that Compaq will not be supporting version
7.1 of OpenVMS for much longer, and are recommending an upgrade to 7.2-2.
Our product has been produced under 7.10G1 of Powerhouse, and our customers
are running it under this and other releases of 7.10G.

I've been trying to find out if there any pitfalls involved in the VMS
upgrade.

The Cognos web site shows that there are users known to be running 7.10G
under 7.2 VMS. Is there anybody here who has experience of such an upgrade
who could tell me of any problems or concerns relating to Powerhouse?

Thanks in anticipation,

Ian Wedge
