Auto replies

My guess is that the client was sending the message directly to the 
original sender because the "Precedence: bulk" header was apparently not
being sent by the old software.

As for Chris' comment that Outlook is well behaved software, my perception
(from observation since I never use any of the Outlook products) is that
this is a fortunate exception to Outlook seeming to generally behave
annoyingly.  But I will also qualify that statement with the fact that I
primarily use Pine on a unix box and generally dislike Microsoft for
several, probably greatly discussed, reasons.

In any case, I'm glad to hear that Outlook and our new mailing list
software appear to get along at least on this issue.
