And the winner it Roger for suggesting %\C\O\M\P@.

Since I know the other status' do not start with C I simplified the pattern
to %\C@.  This also created a faster response too!

Also, not being allowed to use a pattern when being prompted during initial
key requests caught me.  The particular screen I was testing also confused
this issue.
