Terminal Time-out in Qdesign/Quick

Hello Robert !

Yes, I ( and the customers to my application ) use the Terminal Time-out
setting in the QKGO file, at one special occasion: When using telephone modem
(  we still use this as an alternative when there are problems with the
Internet connection ) and printing big reports, and when you want to leave the
office and you donīt want to pay the telephone company more than neccesary.
Then I use a special UDC command:

LONGPRINT
FILE QKGO=QKGSPEC
QUICK
BYE
*****
In QKGSPEC Terminal Time-out is set to 120 (seconds ).
This works unless the printer runs out of paper.

Maybe the following way would work for you using:
*****
IDLEUPDATE
FILE QKGO=QKGSPEC
QUICK
QUICK
QUICK
QUICK
QUICK
*****
if your first screen running QUICK is the screen you want to update when idle.

I'm running PH 819C5 on MPE/iX 6.0.
