I don't think there were any differences between 95 and 98 however NT is a
problem (at least so far)

I thought that some years ago, Cognos officially announced that PH PC
was a 'dead' product.
What problems are people having in running in on windows 95 / Pentium
PC's etc ?

I have had P.C. powerhouse version 511 G2 it running with no problems on
Dell Pentium PC's with windows 95. Is there some subtlety running old
software on 98 as opposed to 95 I'm not aware of ?

Let me know and I'll see if I can dig out some old manuals.

Thanks

Pete Foulkes.

Hey COGNOS, now that 8.1 is available on all platforms, how about a new
PC
version?

Hey Conrad - see - I'm not the only one still running PH5.11! What about
that free upgrade to Axiant offer :-)

But I've kept the old 386's it runs on just for that reason alone. I
made a
half hearted attempt to get it to run on a new W98 box but it wasn't
happy
and I didn't want to spend the time learning that much about Bill's OS
or
what Cognos did to make 5.11 run on good old DOS.

If you've got it running on W98 I'd love to have some "install
instructions".

I didn't even realise this listserver still existed until Conrad
Whittall
reminded me.
I hope this message is legible as I used a character based mail system
when
I used to be subscribed years ago.
Anyway, I have a couple of clients still using PC PH 5.11G and one of
them
has copied the apps to an NT server.
Problem is that calling QUIZ from QUICK doesn't work any more - does
anyone
have any information re setting it up correctly so it will work as it
does
on Win 95/98 - which version DOS / EXT or even OS2 although I don't have
that one any more ?
Thanks
GB
