Gordon,
How did they get it to run on Win 95? The only client I knew that was using
PowerHouse PC (5.11F) was unable to get it to run on anything better than a
486 with DOS 3. Any attempt to install it on a better machine (i.e.. a
Pentium 133 with DOS 6.0) failed miserably, let alone getting any of it to
run.
Anyway, I think that you will find that NT, you don't say which version so
I'll assume that its 4.0, is not happy with the version of the DOS Extender
that was available when 5.11 was sold. This is because it does 'smart
tricks' to increase its performance. NT is a bit of a stickler for programs
doing things the 'right way' and gets very unhappy if they don't. This is
the reason that a lot of DOS/Win 3.x/Win 95 games will not run on NT.
Hope this helps you.
Regards,
Robert W.Mills (Windsong Services)

I didn't even realise this listserver still existed until Conrad Whittall
reminded me.
I hope this message is legible as I used a character based mail system when
I used to be subscribed years ago.
Anyway, I have a couple of clients still using PC PH 5.11G and one of them
has copied the apps to an NT server.
Problem is that calling QUIZ from QUICK doesn't work any more - does anyone
have any information re setting it up correctly so it will work as it does
on Win 95/98 - which version DOS / EXT or even OS2 although I don't have
that one any more ?
Thanks
GB
