I think that you may find the answers to your questions if you post them in
the SupportTalk discussion forum on the Cognos Support web site, at
http://support.cognos.com. You do need a valid customer account to gain
access to the supported customer area, but there are a number of
product-specific forums to be found here...monitored by Cognos support staff
as well as the many customers using our different products.

Is there a clean way to uninstall an old version of Impromptu? Namely
version 4.0.
There is no uninstall utility available.
Also, is there a way to set up the response.ini file to force the unattended
silent install to put the icons in the "All Users" folder? This option is
available during the manual install, however, during the unattended silent
install the icons are going to the individual user's profile.
