Upgrading 819C on HP3000 (MPE/iX)

How can you screw up a PowerHouse installation? Restore the files, run the
job, feed it the security key, it's installed. Change the account level udc
for any account that wants to run a PH component, recompile, all done. Half
an hour tops :-)

One of the things we stopped doing a long time ago was using the "current"
group in the Cognos account. Nobody was ever certain just which version was
actually in current. Leave the stuff in the groups in which it is delivered.
And use the supplied udc to run the components instead of trying to figure
out what new system variable or resource file is now required. Keep it
simple!

As for 819C5, I can't say. I'm reasonably happy with C4 and the things on my
bug list aren't fixed in C5 so I'll wait for C6 or 829.

And why can't I answer all the questions? Actually I don't -- you won't hear
a thing from me about Orakill or Rdb.

Regards,
JWP
