I've subscribed to this list for a while and have attended Cognos
conferences (aka SigPowerhouse, SigCognos, etc) for over 13 years, attended
last year's conference in Orlando, and have submitted an ADT-Axiant paper
for this year's conference.
I agree that a focused ADT event in Ottawa would be a great idea, cheaper,
smaller, faster, better, etc; I would attend in a heartbeat. I would also
encourage other ADT people to attend the conference in Anaheim. There will
be some content, Axiant/Powerhouse client server does work and it sounds
like its getting even better with the somewhat delayed release of version
3.0. Even if there are only a few dozen ADT types and a limited number of
papers/sessions it's better to be included than not. It doesn't matter if
there are ten BI sessions in each time slot and only 1 ADT session. You can
only attended one session per time slot anyway.
Hope to see all of you in Anaheim.
