Run Time Only Option

Hello John !
Yes, that's correct. I have never seen Qutil's SET SOURCE statement until I read
your tip.
When I found one solution of the problem, I finished searching other solutions.
Thank you for the tip. Nowadays I don't need it since we only use one more
powerful HP3000, and we don't use run time licences. Hopefully some other guy
can use your tip. That is the meaning of this mailing list isn't it ?
About Image and KSAM: When we many years ago started using HP3000, Image had to
know the complete key value to be able to find a record. It was impossible to
use 'J@' to find all the records starting with 'J'. When using Image and wanting
to use parts of the key values, we had to create a KSAM file as a copy of the
Image file, and access this KSAM file but update both the KSAM and the Image
files. This was possible, but caused us a lot of PowerHouse source coding.
So, when writing the second application, I used only KSAM files, to reduce the
source coding.
This application still lives :-)
I know that Image nowadays can manage parts of the key values.
For the future it would be interesting to listen to a skilled person explaining
the the advantages of Image compared with KSAM.
Best regards
Bengt
