Wanted: tool for editing PDL (non VMS)

I knew that Blue had been playing, sorry, evaluating a beta copy of Axiant
3.0 hence my suggestion :-)
I agree that spending $895 is probably a bit much if it is "only" for data
definition maintenance. However, Axiant does contain a full single-user
development copy of PowerHouse 4GL 8.21 under the covers (a modern-day
PowerHouse/PC anyone???) and includes a single-user development version of
Sybase SQL Anywhere, a "real" small-footprint relational DBMS server (way
better than PH-ISAM!) -- which can be used to create standalone
Windows-based PowerHouse apps or to prototype client/server PowerHouse apps
that you might later deploy against a PowerHouse server accessing Oracle or
Sybase databases. $895 doesn't seem too much for that sort of package.
As to Blue's comment about being thick skinned. Didn't you know that its a
prerequisite for anyone trying to promote PowerHouse these days ;-)
Best regards,
Conrad

When I first read Conrad's response I laughed. Oops, it wasn't a joke.
I too think $895 is EXTREME for a very limited use editor. Singer user
too? Ouch!
