Help using HELP in actionbar menus

Hi Blue,

What you have "should" work, i.e. EXTENDED HELP is a valid QDESIGN command
for a conditional command list. However, as tables 5.12 and 5.13 in the
PowerHouse Language Rules book (I'm working from the Series 8 PDF Books
here) state, this command is valid in both ACTION and DATA contexts.

Are you perhaps getting the extended help for a field in your program (the
currently "marked" one)? In which case this indicates that you are actually
in data context when you are calling the menu item. If not it sounds like
you have a product issue.

Anyway, why hasn't this customer upgraded to 8.13D? Or even 8.23D for that
matter?

Cheers,
Conrad

Subject: Help using HELP in actionbar menus

G'day all

I am using PH 7.33 under HP/UX. I want to know how can I access my
'DESCRIPTION OF SCREEN' text from an actionbar menu item?

I have tried MENUITEM LABEL "Help" ACTION EXTENDED HELP but to no avail. I
also discovered that ... ACTION ?? is illegal syntax!

Any ideas?

Blue
