CTRL/C under HP UNIX

I've checked the "stty -a" settings and they seem fine.
Unfortunately they aren't using VT+.
Thanks for the suggestion.

Hi Ray,
I can't think of any obvious reason for the situations where ctrl-C works
first time and not subsequently. However, on the sites where it gets
ignored completely, are you absolutely sure that ctrl-C is set as the
interrupt character? I guess you got them to do 'stty intr <ctrl>C' at the
unix prompt, but did you check that ctrl-C wasn't already set for something
else? If it was, then the 'stty intr <ctrl>C' would be ignored.
You can check by doing 'stty -a'. You should see something like:
speed 9600 baud; line = 0;
rows = 24; columns = 80
min = 4; time = 0;
intr = ^C; quit = ^\; erase = DEL; kill = ^U
eof = ^D; eol = ^@; eol2 <undef>; swtch <undef>
stop = ^S; start = ^Q; susp <undef>; dsusp <undef>
werase <undef>; lnext <undef>...
etc
Here, intr is set to ctrl-C. On your customer sites, look for something
else (such as quit, maybe?) that is set to ctrl-C. If you're in luck, then
set 'quit' (or whatever) to be something else (Ctrl-\ if it's quit) then set
intr to be ctrl-C.
Alternatively, are your customers using VT-Plus as their terminal emulator?
If so, I seem to remember that you can take control of their terminal
sessions remotely, and see the problem first-hand. It might give you some
insight into how to reproduce the problem. I'm sure that Steve Smith can
help you with this if you don't know how. Might be worth giving him a call
at your Hanley office.
Good luck.

I've got three customers who are having problems using Ctrl/C in Quiz & Qtp.
The result of which is that if a large process is being ran in Quiz it can
not be halted.
This problem takes on a number of different types. Sometimes Ctrl/C won't
work at all. Other times it will work for the first interrupt of a Qtp and
once continued won't work again.
I've made sure that the INTR environment is set to "^C".
Cognos have no record of this as a bug and can not duplicate it.
I can't duplicate it on my HPUX box either (other than changing INTR to
something else)
Please Help if you can.
