But we have: it's called formatnumber.
I used the old, clunky, syntax as the original poster was on HP.
For anyone not similarly handicapped, its:
def pol-unit-price-z char*13 = formatn(pol-unit-price,"#######0.####")
I believe Bob said V8.30 onwards would have formatnumber on all platforms - or
am I dreaming again?
formatdate next please !!
