Hi Ray,
I've thought it over and another suggestion is:
- 'master' screen at the top half; 'slave' screen at the bottom;
- catch as many conditions that generate a message the message line and show
them in a pop-up screen yourself to avoid the message line (default 24) on the
'master' to be used by PH;
- when entry is needed on the 'slave', push a designer that cals the screen with
an identification for the field/id needed on that screen as a passing item. ID 0
could mean just FIND, DISPLAY and RETURN. Pass the records involved as well, so
you can perform the update on the 'master';
- write an 'entry' procedure in the intialize of the 'slave', only accepting the
ID received and RETURN.
I haven't tried this and have just been typing what came to my mind, so I can't
give you the exact code for this. I also don't know the exact behaviour of PH
when swapping from one screen to the other but I presume both screen will always
be and stay visible.
You might give it a try.

We've currently got an entry/enquiry screen for use on a help desk which has
a number of subscreens hanging from it.
We want to be able to give the user all of the fields in one go.
Any suggestions would be very much welcome.

Perhaps is you could tell us why the screen needs these
particular dimension
we might be able to offer a few alternatives. What is your
objective with
the screen?
