Using INFORMATION in UPDATE procedure

Hi,
I believe the use caution warning is due to the fact that issuing an info
statement will release any locks you have on files. As well as the unlock
verb, exiting a screen and linking to a lower level screen, Quick will
release locks if it is ready to accept input from the terminal (response)
and ready to send output to the screen(now).
Hope this helps.

Subject: Using INFORMATION in UPDATE procedure
Hi,
I wanted to spit out a custom message at the end of my UPDATE in QUICK
v8.13d1 on HP/UX 10.20 (the Java training isn't done yet...). So, I use the
INFORMATION verb.
However, in the .PDF docs, it states "Warning: Use caution when using the
INFORMATION verb in BACKOUT and UPDATE procedures.". Other than carefully
typing it in and experimenting with the NOW clause, what exactly am I
supposed to use caution against? A search on support.cognos.com didn't hit
any matches.
Anyone?
