Powerhouse and Interbase

Dear List!

We are using PH V7.33D and Interbase 4.0C at HP9000 HP-UX 10.20.

At the moment there are again very bad news about the future of PH and
Interbase.
In Feb 2000 Mr. Sheperdson from Cognos mailed to all PH User that
Cognos will STOP
to support Interbase after 31.Dec 2000  and the worst of all
Interbase will no longer be a valid DBMS for PH at all after release
8.2x.

At now with the fail to start a new Interbase company this will  become
true.
We received a  latest email from Mr. Sheperdson which was exact the same
context.
An official statement from Cognos is to come.

So, who else is impacted by this issue and what are your plans ?
Could we have some influence to keep up Interbase for a valid database.
I heard about 700 customers working with  that environment.

I think they will like us not be willing invest a big money for Oracle
und migration
work.
Interbase  V6 is now FREE for everybody!
