Where is it stated that Quick in batch is "unsupported" ???

So, create your own log. I maintain my own counters and write them as
formatted strings to a temporary sequential file which the job stream prints
in its stdlist after Quick completes. Yes, it's more work than the automatic
Qtp counters, but it's not really hard!

I'll bet that the Qtp is slower, with its requirement to create indexed
subfiles and multiple passes. And I'll bet the single Quick screen is more
easily understood by the next person who encounters it.
