PH 8.30 (VMS) planning

Both the subfile conversion utility (com file) and the "issues list" are a
bit big to send to the list, especially as a small percentage of list
members at most would be interested. Plus as Bob said, although "my" list
is more recent than his original (done for 8.0, not 8.2), it definitely is
not guaranteed to be complete. I would be happy to privately share both
with anyone currently planning or executing a conversion from 7.10 to 8.x -
please email me off-list.

Hi Bill,

Do you still have the name of the person at Cognos to whom you gave this
information, maybe someone could persuade/extract (are you listening Bob?)
this and put on the list server.

We have already made the conversion from 7.10 to 8.20D; a list of the
problems we encountered (both those documented as possible problems by
Cognos and the "surprises") has been sent to Cognos, along with a utility
we wrote that converts your subfiles from format 7 to format 8.
