Hasn't every PH developer?

So far, I was hopeful...

That paragraph holds the key words. "Business Intelligence". In other
words, as usual, Cognos is ignoring the ADT market and pushing the BI
stuff.

Think they'll read past the word "Quiz" in the message? I'd be surprised.
I've emailed Cognos THREE TIMES over the past month to try to get a price
for a PH license. No response whatsoever. Guess they don't even want to
sell it.

I remember that one well. Note that HP is _still_ making more money today
off the 3000 MPE platform than they were then, even though as a percentage
of profits the 9000's have a much larger "share". Personally, if I had two
product lines and one was making me a mint, while the other was bringing in
a nice steady - but not earthshaking - income, I'd either sell the
low-profit one or see if I could bring it's sales up. The _last_ thing I'd
do is ignore it, cut development and support staff, and just hope the
customers keep buying.
