Thank you all,

If I enter debug with a statement like:

QUICK DEBUG=SOURCE PROCLOC=EXE_DIR AUTO=PROGNAME1

everything works as it should. And now I can quote from the manual, PROCLOC
"causes Powerhouse to search for process files in a location other than the
current directory." I just needed a hint where to look.
