G'day all

News from the front for Thursday 9/9/99???

Bill Taylor, founder of Fast Company magazine, gave the keynote address.
Basically, if you're not on the internet you're not in the fast lane and if
you're not in the fast lane, you lose.

He covered personel hiring techniques by Cisco and SouthWest Airlines, how
the business world moves in internet speed, etc. A bit of a futurist but a
junior compared with Alvin Toffler or Ervin Laslo.

I checked out DecisionStream. It's great. It's basically QTP with a GUI
front end. It takes data from one or more data sources, allows you to
massage and transform that data or create new data, and then outout it to a
data mart (and an Impromptu catalog and transformer model).

I met people from even more countries today - Japan and Mexico.

More fun tomorrow.

Wish you were (all) here.
