Running Quick in Batch

I want to run Quick in batch mode to edit some data.
(MPE/ix 5.5 PP7,PH819C5).
When I run it interactively, it works fine.  But when I run
it from a job, I get the following:

 Q U I C K   (PowerHouse  8.19.C5)
 No port information found.
 Terminal type=
 Terminal type=
 *E* No valid terminal type was specified.
 QUICK session completed.
 END OF PROGRAM

I tried to run it as:

:QUICK "AUTO=CAROLQQQ.CAROL"

and as:

:FILE QKGO=BTQKGO.CAROL    (with the first screen =
CAROLQQQ.CAROL)
:QUICK

but I get the same results when I run it from a job.  What
am I missing?  Can I set the terminal type to some value?
