Median function on non-key values

Hi:

On Cognos 7.10G1, OpenVMS/Alpha:

A colleague and I are trying to apply a median function to non-key data in a
report group. Is there a technique that will accomplish this?

There is a well-known procedure for determining the median for key data in a
report group. However, when trying to extend the solution to our problem,
one of the stumbling blocks is the SELECT clause in the third step. It's not
readily apparent how that verb, the critical processing step,  applies to
non-key report requirements.
