Data expression error

G'day Mikael

If this is occurring in a particular screen, you could write designer
procedures to display the contents of a data item at run time. My
experience with the debugger is that a DCE that occurs without running in
debug mode will not show up in debug mode!

Another option is to put info messages at critical points in the logic
during testing and display the data in the field.
E.G. INFO MESS="Field xcontains:" + fieldx (or ASCII(fieldx) NOW RESPONSE

In general I do find that debug enables me to track down almost all errors.

Good luck

Subject: Data expression error

Hi

Are there anyway you can get PH to write a linenmb. or variable names on
the
screen, when it writes get an error and write "Data expression error" on
the
screen. It can be quite hard to locate such error and it would be jolly
helpfull
if the line nmb. etc. would appear on the screen also.
