No...there isn't a zero missing, you read it right -- US$500 for the Windows
NT Workstation version of PowerHouse Web.

And yes, a PowerHouse 4GL development license is required to build the
screens that you deploy using PowerHouse Web. PowerHouse 4GL 8.2 (that's
8.21 on NT and 8.23 on UNIX, with 8.29 for MPE/iX and 8.20 for OpenVMS in
the works) includes some new syntax to support web-specific features for
screens.

You can find an example showing a single PowerHouse QUICK screen that has
been deployed to Web, Windows and terminals on our (slightly) revamped web
site, at http://www.cognos.com/powerhouse/ui.html.

I think that I previously mentioned that all of the soft-copy documentation
for PowerHouse 4GL, Axiant 4GL and PowerHouse Web is also now available for
download from the web site too. We have a new page on the web site for that,
at http://www.cognos.com/powerhouse/download.html.

As for the price of PowerHouse 4GL on Windows NT -- you should expect around
US$750 per developer (or something close in your local currency). This is
the same whether it is installed on a server to support developers building
thin-client Axiant 4GL applications against it, or installing it on each
developer's PC so that they can build screens for PowerHouse Web deployment
(and use QUIZ and QTP of course). Sorry, still no QUICK for Windows -- but
we hope to do some tests soon to check the feasibility of running it in a
DOS box, which is how QUIZ, QTP, PDL and QUTIL run now in PowerHouse 4GL
8.21 for NT.
