announced the immediate availability of Cognos PowerHouse=AE Web and Cognos

PowerHouse Web, the latest addition to the PowerHouse family of application
development tools that includes PowerHouse 4GL and Axiant=AE 4GL, enables We=

deployment of customers' mission critical applications built using
PowerHouse 4GL. Now corporate users, customers, and suppliers can be given a
simple, intuitive, user interface to applications that requires zero
training. PowerHouse 4GL 8.2 enables developers to generate an HTML
interface for PowerHouse screen programs. This interface is open to further
enhancement with HTML, JavaScript, Java applets, ActiveX controls, XML,
etc., using either a text editor or any of the popular Web authoring tools.
PowerHouse Web enables customers to deliver a Web interface for any
data-driven PowerHouse business application - existing or new - such as
customer service, on-line reservations and sales-order processing.
Applications deployed using PowerHouse Web benefit from a flexible request
distribution architecture that increases scalability, eliminates single
points of failure, and provides effective load balancing across
heterogeneous networks of Windows NT, UNIX, Hewlett Packard MPE/iX and
Compaq OpenVMS application servers.
