Axiant cost?

I think that there is an element of missing the point here, in comparing
quiz to Impromptu. Quiz is not exactly an end-user reporting tool !

I have used PH quiz and Impromptu for a number of years, and my biggest
whinge with Impromptu is that the concept of a data dictionary, so well
implemented in Powerhouse, is not implemented very well in Impromptu.
For example, it is not possible to save formatting options in the
catalog (eg 'money' format for numerics, or specialised patterns for
character strings like Post Codes (in the UK).
The concept touted a while back was that Impromptu was going to be able
to read an Axiant repository, in which these kind of issues would have
been addressed...

Cheers

My exposure to Impromptu is limited to a 2 day class that
felt like it was a month. Maybe it's changed since then, but
it seemed much less powerful than quiz. A multi-pass quiz
run with indexed subfiles, etc. can be stored and executed
in 1 file. Is this also true of Impromptu? Server-based is
much more desirable for us because we can log in from various
locations, not because of processing speed.
