How can I test for errors in QTP and QUIZ in a job stream?

The equivalents under OpenVMS would be the operating system
commands DEFINE/SYMBOL or DEFINE/LOGICAL.
Regardless of the operating system being used these "system" values
can be set, read and deleted using the SETSYSTEMVAL, GETSYSTEMVAL
and DELETESYSTEMVAL functions available in PowerHouse (on OpenVMS,
MPE/iX, UNIX and even Windows NT).

SHOWJCW, SETJCW - these look very useful, but I can't find any reference to
these commands in the manuals. Are they available in OpenVMS versions or are
they specific to HP?
