Cognos License

We too have had problems with Flexlm.  We have a very small staff, and
spending time to get the license problems fixed is time that cannot be
spent on furthering user goals.  In addition to wasting time, Flexlm does
consume significant system resources as well, as Chris Sharman mentioned.


This overhead serves no useful user purpose. Since we have purchased
sufficient licenses, we are expending time, processor cycles, and DecNet
connections simply to make Cognos bean counters feel better.  The message
between the lines is: 

"COGNOS - We assume our customers are dishonest."
