I admit to very little knowledge of PH but I do know databases. It would
seem to me that if ENTRY, CHANGE or other  updating functions are not among
the ACTIVITIES for a screen then the DATABASE need not be opened in WRITE
mode. I know this is possible with HP3000 database intrinsics using COBOL or
FORTRAN. Can QUICK also open a database only in READ mode? If not then when
will this enhancement be added to the product line?
