Working in New Zealand.

I seriously considering working in New Zealand (preferably Auckland). I am
currently contracting on a Y2K project in London. Does anyone have any
words of wisdom on the subject. For instance:

What's the powerhouse job scene like in New Zealand currently ?
Is there an agency that specialises in powerhouse positions in New Zealand
?
What is the lead time for getting a job/visa for New Zealand when moving
from the U.K.?

I would be grateful for any advice/experience.
